The project activities of the Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Center are based on the European Union's Erasmus + program aimed at financing education, training, sports and youth projects. The program aims to increase skills, engage the labor market and support the modernization of education, training and youth work systems.

Projects under the EU Erasmus + program allow school pupils and staff to practice in partner schools and businesses in different European countries and increase their competitiveness.

Development of Competence Through  New Experience

The goal of the project is to organize high-quality mobility during the project, which will increase the competitiveness of students and staff of the Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Center and intensify international co-operation.

The best pupils from the 2018 / 2019 study groups of 2nd and 3rd year students studying in vocational education and training at vocational secondary education and secondary school participate in the project:

  • younger software developer
  • cook
  • carpenter
  • welder
  • metal cutter worker
  • hairdresser
  • logistic customer service representative (warehouse worker, warehousekeeper)

26 students take internships and 8 motivated staff trainees. In the framework of the project, cooperation with partners in the following countries: Great Britain, Italy, Austria, Spain, Slovenia.
