03.-30. märtsil viibisid meie juures praktikal Leedust õpilased Aras Kadžius ja Mantas Karanauskas, Kaunase Tehnikaülikoolist. Aras jagas lahkelt meiega oma kogemust.

Esimesel nädalal kui me Jõhvi, Ida-Virumaa Kutsehariduskeskusesse jõudsime, tutvustati meile, mida see kool õpetab, ning minu arvates pakub see kool suurepäraseid võimalusi neile, kes soovivad õppida. Järgmisel päeval viidi meid ringkäigule. Käisime Toilas, Sillamäel ja nägime ka Valaste juga, mis oli üks uskumatuid asju, mida ma oma silmaga näinud olen – jäätüki tõttu, mille oli juga tekitanud, oli see lihtsalt imeilus. Seejärel läksime Oru parki, mis oli kunagi Eesti presidendi Konstantin Pätsi suveresidents. See park oli üsna hämmastav, kuid minu arvates oleks suvel see veelgi fantastilisem. Me käisime ka rannas, ja kes ei armastaks rannas käimist?
Esimesel nädalal õppisime juba, kuidas teha õmblusi MIG/MAG keevitusmasinaga ning tutvusime ka masinate ning nende funktsioonide ja seadistustega.
Esimesel nädalal toimus ka keevitamise võistlus, kus meil oli võimalus jälgida, kuidas paljud keevitajad keevitasid metallkonstruktsiooni, mis nõudis palju oskusi.
Hilisematel nädalatel alustasime ise keevitamist ja meil oli terve kuu, et keevitada täpselt seda metallkonstruktsiooni, mida keevitati samal võistlusel. Esmalt konstrueerisime selle ja hakkasime harjutama keevitusi, mis olid vajalikud selle konstruktsiooni keevitamiseks. Õppisime kõiki keevitusasendeid: PA, PB, PC, PF, PG, PD, PE, PH, PJ ja torusid.
Minu kogemuse põhjal arvan, et tegin keevitamisel suurepärase töö, kuid mõned asendid on endiselt rasked ja vajavad palju harjutamist. Siiski omandasin sellest Erasmus+ projektist palju uusi teadmisi.
Viimasel päeval käisime Narvas ekskursioonil, kus nägime lossimüüre ja silda, mis ühendab Eestit Venemaaga ning nägime ka 8 lõvikuju, kes “kaitsevad” Eestit.
Tahan ka mainida inimesi, kellega olime pidevas kontaktis ja kes meie eest hoolitsesid, tagades, et meil oleks kõik vajalik olemas. Meie keevitamise õpetajad, Gennadi ja Igor olid suurepärased, alati kontrollisid meid, kui meil olid raskemad ajad, näitasid meile, kuidas teha teatud keevitustehnikaid, õmblusi ja andsid nõuandeid, mida vältida ja millele tähelepanu pöörata ning me õppisime neilt palju. Ning meie projektijuhid Ingrid ja Sergei on suurepärased inimesed, kellega on tore vestelda ja kui meil oli mingisuguseid probleeme, aitasid nad alati.
During the first week when we arrived at Jõhvi Ida-Virumaa Kutsehariduskeskus school, we were introduced to what this school teaches and this school has amazing opportunities for those who want to learn in my opinion. The day after we were shown around, they took us to Toila and Sillamäe, we saw the Valaste waterfall which was one of the most amazing things I saw with my eyes, because of the ice it created, it was just beautiful. Then we went to Oru Park, which was once the summer residence of the President of Estonia Konstantin Päts. This park was pretty amazing, but I think it would be even more fantastic in the summer. We went to the beach also, and who doesn’t like going to the beach?
In the first week, we already learned how to make stitches with a MIG/MAG welding machine, and also got acquainted with the machines and their functions and settings.
During the first week there was a welding competition and we were able to watch how a lot of welders welded a metal construction that required a lot of skills.
In later weeks, we started welding, and we had a whole month to weld that exact metal construction that was welded in the same competition. First we constructed it, and started to practice welds that were required to weld that construction. We learned all welding positions, PA, PB, PC, PF, PG, PD, PE, PH, PJ and tubes.
In my experience, I think that I did a great job in welding, but some positions are still difficult and there is a lot of more practice to do, but I gained a lot of knowledge from this Erasmus+ project.
And on the last day, we went on a trip to Narva, where we saw castles, and a bridge that connects Estonia to Russia and we saw the 8 lion sculptures which “protecting” Estonia.
Also, I want to tell about the personal that we were in touch with, who looked after us and made sure that we had everything we needed. Our welding teachers Gennadi and Igor, were great, they always checked up on us, if we were having a difficult time, showed us how to do certain welding techniques, stitches and gave advice on what to avoid and what to pay attention to, and we learned a lot from them. And our project managers Ingrid and Sergei are awesome people who are nice to talk to and if we had some kind of problems, they always helped.
