Short overview of the school
Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Centre (IVVEC) is a public VET institution, situated in the north-east of Estonia, which provides initial and additional vocational training and retraining for young people and adults.
Around 2500 students of various ages, both after basic and secondary school, study at IVVEC in 23 curriculum groups. All the curricula are offered both at school and on work-based learning scheme. Instruction languages are Estonian and Russian. We also offer a wide range of courses for initial training, in-service education and retraining to over 3000 adults yearly.
IVVEC has 3 schools in different towns of Ida-Viru county:
· Sillamäe, 13 Tallinna hwy, 40202
· Jõhvi, 13 Kutse Str, 41533
· Narva, 45 Kreenholmi Str, 20104 and 3 Raudtee Str, 20103
We provide services to a big number of customers at our training facilities:
· Restaurants “La Fourmi“ and “Manufaktuur“
· Beauty Salon “La Beaute“
· Conference rooms
Our students are accommodated at dormitories in Jõhvi (100 people) and Sillamäe (300 people).
We offer the following curricula:
Construction and wood - finishing work in construction (painter, tiler and plasterer), painter, plasterer, tiler, carpenter-log house builder, carpenter, water system technician, concrete worker, bricklayer, cabinetmaker, wood-machine operator, facility operations specialist.
Technology - electrician, automatician, manufacturing and industrial automatician, mechatronic, miner, laboratory technician, operator of chemical processes, renewable energy technology and equipment installer, security and fire protection systems installer.
Economics - warehouse worker, small business entrepreneur, e-marketing in small enterprises, cargo-handler, transport organizer-logistician, accountant, business administration specialist.
IT & multimedia – IT systems specialist, junior IT systems specialist, software developer, junior software developer, junior multimedia specialist, ICT security specialist.
Food & Catering - chef, chef assistant, technology of bakery and pastry, baker, confectioner, waiter, kitchen assistant, catering service operations.
Metal & Automotive – welder, welder (semi-automatic), assembler, vehicle technician, machine-tool worker, motorcartechnician, car body and tire technician.
Service - cleaner, tourism organizer, travel consultant, shop assistant, dressmaker, clothe sewing, tailor, hairdresser, master hairdresser
