The project activities of the Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Center are based on the European Union's Erasmus + program aimed at financing education, training, sports and youth projects. The program aims to increase skills, engage the labor market and support the modernization of education, training and youth work systems.

Projects under the EU Erasmus + program allow school pupils and staff to practice in partner schools and businesses in different European countries and increase their competitiveness.

The way to the labor market with increased professional skills

The project goal is to improve the knowledge, skills and practical experience of the students as these are the cornerstones of competitiveness in the labor market. Also, it is needed for gaining the experience for continuing the studies and for lifelong learning as well as gaining new experience while working in EU countries.

The aim of the project is to organize high-quality study mobilities during the project, which will increase the competitiveness of students and staff of the Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Center and increases international cooperation. The best students in the 2nd and 3rd-study years on the basis of the basic and secondary vocational education will participate in the project in 2019/2020:

  • IT systems specialist
  •  Warehouse worker
  • Hairdresser
  •  Cook
  • baker-confectioner
  • electrician
  • Mechatronic
  • Finishing worker
  • Car mechanic
  • Carpenter

26 students complete internships in companies and 8 motivated employees go on internships. The project involves cooperation with partners in the following countries: Spain, France, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Latvia.
